With so much madness going on in our World I hope what I am about to share with you will give you pause to smile!!
Well, it's that time of year again, (my favorite as you all know) and I hope you all are getting ready to enjoy!
This has been a very exciting year for me. Almost every month I have been honored.
I was inducted into the Apollo Theater Hall of Fame during Harlem Week, and that same afternoon recognized by the Annual Elderly Luncheon members for my continued work with Health Issues. I then was asked to sing the title song for the film "Let There Be Light" (song written by my son Damon Elliott), (PROUD, Yep), and had a chance to show my acting prowess (lol), that was followed by one of the High Honors, that being receiving the Marian Anderson Award, and yes I did say a very LOUD WOW in my acceptance speech, and as if that were not enough, I along with 37 others were inducted into the First ( of which will be an annual event) East Orange Hall of fame, held at East Orange High School, my Alma Mater, and was also told that the Auditorium will bear my name.
This was truly special to be a part of, and to see the wonderful accomplishments of so many of my classmates ............."Go Panthers"
Well, I guess that's it for now and you know I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and the most Prosperous, Healthy, and Happy New Year Ever!!
